Pastor Karl Schultz

Pastor Karl M Schultz was born in Wausau, WI, the fifth child and only son of Pastor Ray and Naomi (Nitz) Schultz.   He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Thiensville, WI in 1994.

Pastor and Jill married on August 3, 1991.  During Pastor’s vicar year at Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater, MN (1992-93), the first Schultz child, Katherine (Katie) was born. Pastor’s assignment upon graduating from the Seminary was to serve the Christians of St Peter Lutheran Church in rural Darwin, MN (the home of the world’s largest ball of twine made by one man).  He served in Darwin from June 1994 to October 1998. During these years the next three Schultz children were born: Emma, Grace, and Aaron.  In October 1998 the Schultz family moved to Hadar, NE where Pastor served Immanuel Lutheran Church and School.  The next two Schultz children were born in Nebraska: Luke and Sadie.   From May 2004  through December 2013 Pastor served as associate pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Kaukauna, WI. The last two of the children were born during these years: Joseph (Joe) and Meredith.

Steve Haag

Principal and grades 5 - 8

Steve Haag graduated from Martin Luther College in 2010 and married Jackie the same year. Steve was assigned to Bethel Lutheran School in Sioux Falls, SD, where he served for five years before accepting the call to First Lutheran. Jackie owns The Pet Parlor of Elkhorn, a pet grooming salon she opened in the summer of 2017. Steve and Jackie are blessed with four children: Adeline, Sophia, Charlie, and Maxine.

Stephen Kamps

Grades 2 - 4

Rachael Kamps


Stephen and Rachael are high school sweethearts and got married June 20, 2009. 

Their ministry began in Milwaukee and then the Lord called Stephen to serve here in 2014.  Rachael was called in 2015 to be the preschool teacher. 

They have been blessed with 3 children.  Their family enjoys going for walks and playing at the beach.

Rachael White

Kindergarten - 1st Grade

Rachel began serving at First Lutheran in the fall of 1979 after graduating from Dr. Martin Luther College (DMLC).  It is currently known as Martin Luther College (MLC).  

She was called to teach Kindergarten through Grade 4.  
In 1985 she married Ron White who taught for many years in the Lake Geneva Middle School as a math teacher. He is now retired and works for Geneva National during the golf season in their player services.  This allows him to golf, which he enjoys.  The Whites are longtime residents of Lake Geneva.  Since Rachel
enjoys walking they enjoy living just about a block and a half from First and she often walks to work.

Bobbie Vonderheide

Preschool Aide and Tutor

Bobbie graduated from Concordia College Mequon in 1984 with an elementary/early childhood education degree. Prior to coming to First, she was the 4K and kindergarten teacher at Our Father’s in Greenfield, a home daycare provider for seven years, a substitute teacher, a foster family for nine infants, and a homeschool teacher for nine years.

She started working at First in 2005 and began her current term in 2010. The children at First bring joy into her life!

Steve and Bobbie have been married for 32 years. Steve is a commercial loan officer at Town Bank. God has blessed them with five beloved grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with them, sewing/quilting, reading, hiking, and biking.

Steven Davis

Office Administrator

Steven Davis joined the church and school staff in the fall of 2017 as the office administrator.  

Steven and his wife, Leah, have two daughters, Madelynn and Mackenzie.  Steven grew up in Sharon on the family dairy farm.  He graduated from UW - Madison in Dairy Herd Management and Gateway Technical College with a degree in Landscape Design.  He has been a lifetime member of First and is grateful for the opportunity to serve the church and school as part of the staff. 

June Clark


June has been a member here at First Lutheran for 68 years.  

June and her husband, Darwin, have been married for 47 years and have two children, Sheila Thirion and Kevin Clark.  She has four grandchildren. 

She retired from Alden - Hebron School and has
been working at First Lutheran since 1992.
